LAST CALL: Final Chance to Sign Up for Our Certification Program + Impromptu Movie Night Tomorrow!
Hey CCM-ers! We hope y'all are having a great and relaxing week so far... It has been so inspiring seeing all the different project ideas and the drive for change y'all have showed!
We've had an overwheling amount of interest for our "CLIMATE LEADERSHIP AND INNOVATION" certification progam (requirements in our info sheet), and our team with be following up with all interested soon. For timelines, we are extending the date to complete requirements like reflections or make-up's for workshops/ networking requirements until next week— March 9th— so as to focus on our CCM grand finals this week (stay tuned for an update on that very soon :). Please do also let us know if needing any accommodations, such as needing to get make-up credit for workshops missed.
And for anyone additional interested, the DEADLINE TO SIGN UP FOR THE CERTIFICATION PROGRAM WILL BE TODAY, FEBRUARY 28TH. Please e-mail certificate@youthimpactchallenge.ca.
Finally, CCM mentor & documentary maker Rifat Anik will do a private documentary showcase tomorrow for his film, "Uthal Pathal: Stories of Cyclone Remal." Trailer linked, with an upfront note that this is a very real but difficult documentary to watch, showcasing the moments when Cyclone Remal hit Bangladesh last year, and the response/ devasatation afterwards. The movie will be followed by a discussion, centered on the realities of climate change, and what each of us can do better adapt to an ever-changing world. Timing for this will be tomorrow, Saturday (March 1st) @ 10:30 AM EST = 3:30 PM GMT = 9 PM IST. This does count as a networking event for certification program purposes. ZOOM LINK HERE.
