Disagree with choice of winners
Could the organizing team be more transparent about how the winners were chosen? Thanks :)

Hey there & thanks for the great question! We've done our best to be transparent through this process, with us frequently going over processes over the multiple calls we've had with participants + Slack, invite link here: https://join.slack.com/t/climatechangemakers25/shared_invite/zt-320ichcn5-u4OoKwUdUyjvmUWos3syYQ... High-level notes on our adjudication process:
- All teams are evaluated across these rubric elements: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1yfnBAL3N85Pbu7QTlKfJDCfl77LN9eO8/view... This was shared multiple times across Devpost, Slack and workshops (including a dedicated workshop just on this).
- Each submission, after going through eligibility and quality checks, were then evaluated by four separate judges each (20+ folks total), coming from a wide variety of backgrounds. These judges provided feedback for each participant as well.*
- Bonus points were also added for some teams who completed our evaluation form & shared bonus point codes for attending workshops, with us communicating multiple times on Devpost & Slack on how this would work. That said, as happens most years, the top teams typically perform well even without bonus points, especially since they are highly engaged in the process of learning on how to create an effective proposal.
- The top 13 teams (typically 12, but we added an extra spot this year) are then advanced to the finals, which is what happened last Sunday.
- These teams then share either a live pitch or a revised video at the finals event and then, using the same core rubric as a guide, but with a discussion element that mixes both quantitative and qualitative judging, and our four finalist judges pick the winners.
* Please note that consolidated judge feedback is given to all successful teams by default, and unsuccessful teams are also able to get them by request. We'll message you directly in case this is of interest for your project!
We hope this clarifies any confusions... While our team really does go out of its way to make things transparent and clear, we cannot always communicate these specific details on Devpost, hence do strongly encourage joining Slack + attending our various calls in the future to get fully caught up on these (info on the judging process specifically was covered during our opening and story-telling/ pitching workshop).
Please do reach out if having further questions, we'll send an individual note as well in case specific feedback is requested :)
Many thanks & kind regards,
